Volunteering...

Volunteering with The Flamingo Lounge is a rewarding experience for all involved. Our volunteers play a crucial role in making our events and activities a success.

By volunteering with us, you can help make a difference in the lives of learning disabled and neurodivergent people. You can be a part of a team that brings happiness and a sense of community to those who may feel isolated or left out. Your contributions and help are valued and appreciated.

Volunteering can also be a great way to develop new skills and gain valuable experience. As well as supporting people on our dancefloor, you can learn about event producing planning, production, and management or support us in our outreach activities such as providing workshops and mobile discos. You can also improve your communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, skills that can help you in your personal and professional life.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and bring with them a range of talents, experiences, and perspectives. Whether you are a student, a professional, or someone looking for a new challenge, we welcome you to join our team.

We offer flexible volunteering opportunities to suit your availability and interests. You can help us with supporting our events as ‘buddy’, event planning, production, and management, or help us with social media, PR, marketing, and fundraising. We will offer you support to help you develop your skills and knowledge.

So, if you are looking for a rewarding and fulfilling experience, we invite you to join our team of volunteers. Together, we can create more fun and inclusive events and activities for learning disabled and neurodivergent people and people of varying abilities.

You can find out more and apply for this opportunity through Oswestry Community Action Qube volunteer listings: www.qube-oca.org.uk/volunteering/ or alternatively Contact Us to learn more about how you can get involved.
