Discos
We specialise in creating dancefloor events and activities for individuals with learning disabilities, neurodiversity and other abilities.
We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable, confident, and safe and a fab opportunity for people to come together, socialise, and have a fun time.
At The Flamingo Lounge, we are committed to giving back to the community. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to have fun, make friends, and develop new skills.
Our events and activities are created with this in mind, and we are constantly looking for new ways to support the community.

Our parties are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their abilities. We have a dedicated team of volunteers that works hard to ensure that every guest feels welcome and supported.

At The Flamingo Lounge, we understand some of the unique challenges that learning disabled and neurodivergent people may face.
We want to give back to the community by providing people with opportunities to be included and engage in making dancefloor culture and activities, to develop new or existing skills.

DJ Skills Workshops & Activity Sessions
Our basic DJ skills workshops or activity sessions are fun, accessible opportunities for learning, confidence-building and self-expression and are inclusive of all abilities, all spectrums.
Working with pro-audio DJ equipment, you’ll learn basic DJ skills in selecting, cuing, beat-matching, mixing and fx.
Up to 24 people per 2-hour session.
You can book these as a workshop block or as single sessions.
‘Make Your Own Party’ Activity Sessions
Our ‘Make Your Own Party’ workshops or activity sessions are fun, accessible opportunities for socialising, learning, confidence-building and self-expression and are inclusive of all abilities, all spectrums.
Working with pro-audio equipment, you’ll have the opportunity to try basic DJ skills taster spots, show off your talents in karaoke or open mic spots, microphone technique, develop performance skills all within a party atmosphere.
For up to 24 people per 2 hour session.
‘Make Your Own Party’ Workshops
(Requires Collaborative Support)
Our workshops combine our basic DJ skills and Make Your Own Party activities into an 8-12 week project (1 – 2 sessions per week) which results in producing your very own event at the end!
Working with pro-audio equipment, you’ll produce your own event gaining experience in the following areas, DJ skills, event planning, promotion, production, set-up, hosting and performing.
For up to 24 people per 2 hour session.

Throwing a party or event?
Hiring our mobile disco for your dancefloor event is a fabulously ethical move that supports meaningful opportunities for disabled people!
At The Flamingo Lounge, we understand some of the unique challenges that learning disabled and neurodivergent people may face when throwing a party. Organising your event can be daunting, especially where the playlist, sound and lighting and the needs of your guests require additional consideration and sensitivity.
As specialist providers of inclusive events for and by disabled people we will provide a mobile disco solution that is tailored to your needs, where our DJs and hosts have either lived or working experience of learning disability and disability.
